Start your own Teeconomics financial literacy club! Use our slide presentations, printouts, and lesson guides to host fun, weekly 45-minute lunch meetings. We are on a mission to expand financial literacy across the U.S. Connect with to start a chapter, and create change.

Week 1

An introduction and diagnostic quiz for the first meeting as students get to know each other.

Week 5

Learn what "liquidity" means, and how that applies to saving and investing. Have students attempt to sort different items from least to most liquid.

Week 2

Learn about the basics of credit: what it is, how to maintain your credit score, and the consequences of a low credit score.

Week 6

Learn the difference between stocks and bonds, and test students' ability to differentiate the two.

Week 3

Learn about when low or high interest rates can be beneficial, what interest is, and how it applies around you.

Week 7

Engage in a lesson about varying kinds of credit cards and how they differ. Have students consider the pros and cons of each with a hands-on presentation.

Week 4

Learn about the difference between APR and interest rate, and why it's important to know both.

Week 8

Compare and contrast different types of credit, as well as credit versus debit. Things might get a little heated with a class debate, where students will work together to fight for their side. 

Week 9
