Abby Medin is a senior at Menlo-Atherton High School in Menlo Park, CA. She became passionate about expanding financial literacy after researching the lack of financial education in public schools, in her paper “Robbing Students of Future Earnings and America’s Economic Growth: The Lack of Financial Literacy Courses in Public Schools”.

Additionally, she has always had a love for design, illustration, and creative writing. On a mission to utilize her design skills to expand access to financial literacy, she created a set of free financial literacy resources for students and teachers nationwide. Through social media, she posts about lessons in finance she is learning, as well as information for teenagers about finding a job, student loans, budgeting, credit, and beginner investing: Teeconomics, economics for teens.

In her free time, she wrote and illustrated a children’s book called “Meow Money”, to introduce finance to young kids early on.
